Studies on Bifurcation and Chaos of a String-Beam Coupled System with Two Degrees-of-Freedom 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
In this paper, research on nonlinear dynamic behavior of a string-beam coupled system subjected to parametric and external
excitations is presented. The governing equations of motion are obtained for the nonlinear transverse vibrations of the string-beam
coupled system. The Galerkin's method is employed to simplify the governing equations to a set of ordinary differential equations
with two degrees-of-freedom. The case of 1:2 internal resonance between the modes of the beam and string, principal parametric
resonance for the beam, and primary resonance for the string is considered. The method of multiple scales is utilized to analyze
the nonlinear responses of the string-beam coupled system. Based on the averaged equation obtained here, the techniques of
phase portrait, waveform, and Poincare map are applied to analyze the periodic and chaotic motions. It is found from numerical
simulations that there are obvious jumping phenomena in the resonant response–frequency curves. It is indicated from the phase
portrait and Poincare map that period-4, period-2, and periodic solutions and chaotic motions occur in the transverse nonlinear
vibrations of the string-beam coupled system under certain conditions.

The paper considers the stochastic response of geometrical non-linear shallow cables. Large rain-wind induced cable oscillations with non-linear interactions have been observed in many large cable stayed bridges during the last decades. The response of the cable is investigated for a reduced two-degrees-of-freedom system with one modal coordinate for the in-plane displacement and one for the out-of-plane displacement. At first harmonic varying chord elongation at excitation frequencies close to the corresponding eigenfrequencies of the cable is considered in order to identify stable modes of vibration. Depending on the initial conditions the system may enter one of two states of vibration in the static equilibrium plane with the out-of-plane displacement equal to zero, or a whirling state with the out-of-plane displacement different from zero. Possible solutions are found both analytically and numerically. Next, the chord elongation is modelled as a narrow-banded Gaussian stochastic process, and it is shown that all the indicated harmonic solutions now become instable with probability one. Instead, the cable jumps randomly back and forth between the two in-plane and the whirling mode of vibration. A theory for determining the probability of occupying either of these modes at a certain time is derived based on a homogeneous, continuous time three states Markov chain model. It is shown that the transitional probability rates can be determined by first-passage crossing rates of the envelope process of the chord wise component of the support point motion relative to a safe domain determined from the harmonic analysis of the problem. 相似文献

轻质、高精度的柔性多体系统被广泛应用于实际工程领域中.由于实际设计公差、制造误差及环境温度等多种不确定因素的存在,使得柔性多体系统的结构参数(物理参数和几何参数)表现出随机性.具有随机结构参数的动力学模型能够客观地反映出真实系统的动力学行为,且结构参数的不确定性对空间柔性多体系统动力学响应的影响是不容忽视的.针对具有多个随机参数的空间柔性多体系统,提出了一种基于广义alpha算法的非侵入式随机柔性多体系统动力学计算方法.采用绝对节点坐标公式(absolute node coordinate formulation, ANCF)来描述柔性体, 推导建立多体系统动力学模型.利用混沌多项式展开(polynomial chaos expansion, PCE)法构建系统随机动力学方程的代理模型,然后将随机响应面法(stochastic response surface method, SRSM)嵌入广义-alpha方法中,分别采用改进抽样的回归方法(regression method of improved sampling, RMIS)和单项求容积法则(Monte Carlo simulation, MCR)来确定样本点.将数值计算结果与蒙特卡洛模拟(Monte Carlo simulation, MCS)结果进行对比, 验证了所提算法的有效性.在相同的定积分精度的条件下,根据单项求容积法则确定的样本点的计算结果稳定性更强, 且其计算效率更高. 相似文献

单层平面索网玻璃幕墙结构是广泛应用于大型公共建筑中的一种新型结构形式,由于其具有柔性大、质量轻、阻尼小、自振频率低的特点,属风敏感结构。由于单索幕墙具有较高的几何非线性,本文采用基于随机振动理论的模态叠加频域方法进行了单索幕墙结构的风振响应分析。将模态叠加频域方法的计算结果和非线性时程分析方法的精确计算结果进行了比较,证明了该方法的准确性。并且本文通过分析各阶模态对单索幕墙结构风振响应的贡献,得到脉动风荷载下结构的振动以第一阶模态为主的结论。根据该结论本文采用频域方法推导了单索幕墙结构的位移均方差和索内力均方差的实用计算公式,同时考虑单索幕墙的结构特点提出了基于结构响应的单索幕墙结构实用抗风设计方法。 相似文献

Based on the classical response surface method (RSM), a novel RSM using improved experimental points (EPs) is presented for reliability analysis. Two novel points are included in the presented method. One is the use of linear interpolation, from which the total EPs for determining the RS are selected to be closer to the actual failure surface; the other is the application of sequential linear interpolation to control the distance between the surrounding EPs and the center EP, by which the presented method can ensure that the RS fits the actual failure surface in the region of maximum likelihood as the center EPs converge to the actual most probable point (MPP). Since the fitting precision of the RS to the actual failure surface in the vicinity of the MPP, which has significant contribution to the probability of the failure surface being exceeded, is increased by the presented method, the precision of the failure probability calculated by RS is increased as well.
